1. Introduction
Maldives Guide is committed to protecting your personal data. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
2. Affiliate Disclosure and Liability
Maldives Guide is an informational website. We do not directly provide tours, hotels, or transport services. Bookings are contracts between you and third-party providers.
- •Affiliate links may generate a commission at no additional cost to you.
- •We are not responsible for service quality, cancellations, or availability managed by third parties.
3. Data We Collect
- •Contact data you send to us (for example, name and email).
- •Usage data such as visited pages and navigation flow.
- •Technical data such as browser type and device information.
We count page views and direct affiliate link uses to understand which content and links are useful and improve this site. This first-party aggregate counter runs independently of optional Google Analytics consent. It does not count unique people, bookings or revenue, build profiles or combine browsing between sites. It uses no visitor cookies, persistent device storage or fingerprinting and stores no IP address, browser identifier, referrer or URL query. Daily totals by page, language and link are retained for up to 180 days; unrelated random event receipts are deleted within 24 hours. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable collection. Cloudflare provides hosting and the EU database and still processes network data, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. Contact the controller listed on this page for privacy requests. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
4. How We Use Data
- •Reply to requests and provide support.
- •Improve content quality and user experience.
- •Understand site usage trends.
- •Comply with legal obligations.
5. Third-Party Services
Optional Google Analytics loads only after analytics consent and only when configured for the launched domain. Tour pages load GetYourGuide booking tools and their required integration script under the provider’s privacy policy. Outbound booking links lead to third-party platforms handling reservations and payments. Your analytics choice is stored locally; it does not block requests needed by those booking tools.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
- •Access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
- •Restriction or objection to processing.
- •Data portability where applicable.
